Sensemedic uses Real-Time Medication Monitoring. Sensemedic enables health care professionals and researchers to accurately monitor a patient's medication use in real-time. This can be combined with real-time intervention to promote correct medication use, if desired.
Sensemedic offers real-time smart reminding with text messages. Text reminder messages can be sent if (and only if) a patient forgets the medication. It is also possible to notify a designated other, if the patient forgets to take medication, by text or e-mail. This type of adherence support has been proven effective.
Information collected with the Sensemedic Real-Time Medication Monitoring system is available through a dedicated, secure Web Portal. Through this portal the healthcare team has access to the medication intake information of their patients.
